it might be a 44 but because of the screw configration and stock dimentions i would say it was built at early a 57 but if you take any close up photos of the nazi symbls or numbers i could tell you were and when exacly it was built or if it was a mod. 98 befor a k98k

Its a BYF 1944 mod .98

Its all original.. except for the bayonet the numbers dont match my rifle, im also looking into getting a cleaning rod to complete the rifle.. I think it might be a 12" rod but im not sure... Im gonna have to put a piece of hanger in the slot to see how deep it is..

wow nice k98 is it yours and what year is it. it dose look like the bolt is rusted a little my guess its a 50s 60s modle thay were known for rusting
i got myself a german mod. 98 made in 43 ill have some pic of it soon check it out

Its 1944, all original and its not rusted, the picture quality is kinda off...
